Last weekend, 麻豆社国产residents had yet another illustration of the passion and commitment it takes to be the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada - and to bring those who share our town's enthusiasm for the outdoors here for a visit.

EDITOR, The Sea to Sky Sirens would like to thank the full house of fans that supported us at our first home bout against Nanaimo's Harbour City Rollers this past Saturday (June 18).

EDITOR,Giving the Legacy Fund money to build a Nordic Park is the silliest idea imaginable. I think that the money should go to refurbish the gravel fields and a mountain skills park.

A family fun event is planned at the Britannia Mine Museum on Father's Day, Sunday (June 19). It will also be the grand opening of the new Family Play Area and includes sack races, three-legged races, tug-of-war, balloon twisters and more.

It's the morning after what was supposed to be one of Vancouver's, and British Columbia's, shining moments, and all we can feel is disappointment, shame and disgust.
