Today (Friday, Oct. 14) is a big day if you're into local politics and we are.

To the Fall Fair volunteers and attendees, The Brackendale Farmer's Institute wishes to convey a sincere thank you to all the fantastic volunteers at the 17th annual Brackendale Fall Fair.

EDITOR, On behalf of Sea to Sky Community Services Society I am writing in regard to your Sept. 9 article "Youth therapy funding appeal issued.

Along with technology, video games, superheroes and gratuitous explosions in movies, I also have a great love for the works of Shakespeare. I know, I know - "One of these things does not belong here.

With just one week to go before the nomination deadline closes for November's municipal election, I'm slightly concerned. Not because I have anything against anyone who has who stepped forward to run.

EDITOR, After 3 1/2 years of unjustified imprisonment in a Mexican prison,Pavel Kulisek walked free Aug. 16, cleared of all charges, and came home to Vancouver.

EDITOR, A couple of days ago a new playground was installed in the Eagle Run Park, so my wife and I took our four-year-old grandson over for a play. The set-up is great and he had a great time.

All ages are invited to the Tribute to the Legends of Country Music on Wednesday (Oct. 12) at 7 p.m. in the Seniors Centre, 1201 Village Green Way.

This last bout of rain has been incredibly welcome. Gardens have perked up, and everything is looking lush and green. Even with fall's low light and cooler temperatures, Â鶹Éç¹ú²úgardens are still going strong.
