Consider this type of return on investment – a year’s worth of guidance and tutelage that translates into a lifetime of confidence and security for the most important people in your life.

This is but one of the many promises made by the team of highly qualified – and personable – instructors at Licence to Drive, a full-suite driving instruction company offering the across Sea to Sky country.

Licence to Drive is also the only driving school in the area to offer a (GLP) that includes in-class theory and behind-the-wheel training.

The unique advantage of Licence to Drive’s in-class GLP course lies in its interactive approach that’s designed just for teenagers and covers topics such as risk assessments, peer pressure, consequences when things go wrong and new driver responsibilities.

“Safety as a priority is all we talk about in the car and it is the number one priority,” says Licence to Drive owner Todd McGivern. “And you can see with our results how great our students are doing because our GLP students have a 100% pass rate.”

The basic GLP course includes 32 hours of training, and when completed, students receive two Grade 11 high school credits and six months off the wait time for their second ICBC road test.

This is an official Government of B.C. program, approved and overseen by ICBC.

“Parents in 麻豆社国产love it because the in-class learning stresses safety, responsibility, managing peer pressure and that’s what makes the class unique,” McGivern.

GLP students can use an app that keeps track of their driving habits, with daily/weekly trivia, videos and interactive activities that can be used to earn points as an individual or on teams with family or friends.

Plus, Licence to Drive has an online student portal for students and parents to see their course progress and important reminders, along with easy booking and payment options.

The instructors themselves not only bring the requisite training, but also an air of familiarity.

That’s because the majority of Licence to Drive instructors also work as school bus drivers across the area – this forges long-lasting relationships over time and helps ease any anxiety new drivers may experience with an otherwise unfamiliar face.

In the case of 麻豆社国产lessons, local school bus driver Charles Pentland is eminently qualified and beloved by students and parents alike.

“With our history and most of us being long-time school bus drivers, we know how to hang around with kids so that’s a big plus for parents,” McGivern says.

And while McGivern and his fellow instructors guide students through the nuances of driving in all seasons, a particular emphasis is placed on navigating the unique challenges presented by fall and winter driving in the Sea to Sky corridor.

The instructors show students how to properly manage curves, hills, rolling and how conditions can change drastically in snow and ice.

“I encourage all of our GLP students to call us on the heaviest of snow days to see if you can get a lesson,” McGivern says. “We can get out on the roads with our cars, the parents aren’t growing grey hair and we can teach students not just safe driving, but survival skills behind the wheel.”
