Editor,
I was absolutely thrilled to see the new promotional video produced by Tourism 麻豆社国产www.youtube.com/SpiritOfSquamish). Finally, a tourism marketing product that speaks directly to the incredible place in which we live.
For the past 10 years I have been dreaming of some sort of film depiction of what 麻豆社国产represents to the nature loving and outdoor recreation community.
Something that is loud, proud and demonstrates the passion people feel for this area. Please check out People - The Spirit of 麻豆社国产on Youtube. I was blown away.
Since first seeing the video a few days ago I've found out that Tourism 麻豆社国产has been busy producing a series of 10 short marketing vignettes, all in high definition, that they will roll out to the public in the period leading up to the Olympics. At time of writing I have seen only two, People and Hiking.
The Hiking video, only one minute long, is also beautifully shot and equally compelling with wonderful images of Garibaldi Lake and the Tusk.
Of course, this barely scratches the surface of all the amazing hiking we have in the 麻豆社国产area but it's a tantalizing introduction.
I can't wait to see the next video.
This is the sort of cost effective and powerful marketing device that is long overdue for the tourism businesses of Squamish. The sort of thing that should have happened long before the Adventure Centre was built.
Tourism 麻豆社国产is now in the process of using the enormous potential of social media (Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) to get the message out.
The whole complex world of Internet linkages in convergence with the world wide attention generated by the Olympics is presenting an unparalleled marketing opportunity for 麻豆社国产that needs to be taken advantage of.
Tourism 麻豆社国产will now need the support of council to make this happen.
Tourism development initiatives in 麻豆社国产have been haphazard at best. This is the most positive development I have witnessed in many years.
Keep up the great work!
