1. June 26, the Summer Reading Club Launch Party is on at the Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úPublic Library, from 12 to 4 p.m.

"Kids ages 5 to 14: Pick up your reading record and join in the summer reading fun!" reads the listing.

2. On June 27, there's Silence in the Library: an Escape Event, at the Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úPublic Library, located at 37907 2 Ave., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

"An event for teens! Celebrate the start of summer by taking part in Silence in the Library. Come alone, or form a team (no more than four) and join us as we lock you in the library. You and your team will be presented with a number of puzzles and challenges to solve in a race against the clock to see if you can find the code to unlock the cabinet of mysteries," reads the listing.

3. Get the long-weekend vibes going at Trickster's Hideout on June 28, at the Long Weekend Party w/ MONTEBONG + The Tequila Monkeys, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The venue is at 38005 Cleveland Ave. 

"Expect big horns, bold beats, and a whole lot of rhythm to keep you grooving late into the night. Grab your friends, sip something tropical, and get ready to dance," reads the listing.

4. For July 1, Canada Day, it's NiKo: Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úTogether at Junction Park, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

"Head to Downtown Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úon Canada Day July 1 for Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úTogether, a celebration of community. Let’s remember our past, honour our traditional lands, and aim toward a brighter future together. Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úTogether is a day that celebrates our diversely rich community amongst live music, art, food and beverage, and craft from many community groups and cultures," reads the listing.

5. On July 5, catch Jocelyn Pettit at Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úAcademy of Music, located at 38121 2 Ave., from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

"HERE TO STAY Album Release Tour Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira Doors 7 p.m., Concert 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $25 Adults, $15 Youth, Free for Kids 12 & under. 6. Looking to July 10, freak yourself out old school at Summer Movie Series: JAWS at the Âé¶¹Éç¹ú²úPublic Library, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"Beat the heat and come to the library for a screening of Jaws to celebrate its 50th anniversary," reads the listing."Jaws (rated PG) is a 1975 American thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg. Based on the 1974 novel by Peter Benchley, it stars Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody, who, with the help of a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter (Robert Shaw), hunts a man-eating great white shark that attacks beachgoers at a summer resort town."
