These photos show press operators printing The 麻豆社国产 at Kodiak Press in Vancouver. Each Wednesday, files are sent from 麻豆社国产at noon. The paper is then printed and brought back for distribution throughout town on Thursday each week.
The 麻豆社国产 took home silver and bronze at theon May 14.

The annual community newspaper awards recognize the best work produced by 93 member newspapers.
The 麻豆社国产 won second in its circulation class at the Ma Murray Awards.
Here’s what the judges had to say:
“Clean, strong layout hosting a wide variety of compelling local content anchored by a solid focus on local viewpoints. High scores in online innovation — The 麻豆社国产 goes above and beyond by promoting its online offerings on its print editorial pages. These efforts are rewarded with better reader engagement, as demonstrated by having the highest number of followers of all the papers in the category. Great work — what a community newspaper should be.”
Reporter-editor Jennifer Thuncher won silver in the environmental Initiative category for her story “Another mass fish kill,” published Oct. 7, 2021, about the many fish stranded due to BC Hydro ramping.
“Solid, solid reporting on display here,” the judges said.
Finally, The 麻豆社国产’s biannual magazine s summer 2021 edition won bronze in the Special Publications category.
“Well written and informative editorial and well-designed layout and ads,” the judges said.
Awards for this year’s winners were handed out at the first in-person event since 2019 at the River Rock Casino & Resort in Richmond.
